The Roxx (Homepage & Flash site)

Web 'design' a term that should now be taken literally. In the past a 'web designer' produced whole sites. The advancements in web capabilities on both the design side and the programming side have split the work of producing large-scale corporate web sites into two skill sets.

The 'web developer' (programmer) is trained in programming languages and software development. Their skills are needed to make all the behind the scenes actions of a web site work. The 'web designer' is responsible for making the site look good. We are the creative people that are formally trained in design. We produce the layout and properly optimize images so your web site looks its best. For information based (static) sites that change rarely, usually to update text and photos on a monthly or bi-yearly basis. A web designer would be your choice to produce this site in html or a spectacular flash site. If you require an e-commerce, user input driven (dynamic) site, these sites require a programmer to make it all happen in the background. If you also want this site to look professional, a designer will still be needed. We work together with programmers to produce highly functional sites that also look the part. Remember, large dynamic sites are expensive to produce. If the site does not look good it reduces confidence in your client before they have even met you.

A more detailed description for individual jobs can be found on the flash site.
